Morning
I have had one eye to our daily rituals lately. This is one of them: every morning Audrey gets out of bed looking like she's just stuck her finger into an electric socket and asks, "Where's baby sister, Mom?" Usually Evangeline is either in the living room on her quilt or in my bed on her boppy pillow... "I go see her, Mom! I hold her." Audrey plops herself down next to her sister. She ogles her and then she wrangles her into a kind of head hold that is vaguely reminiscent of a wrestling move...(Dutch says she gets this "gift for smothering" from him.) Finally, she sits back and smiles and tells her that she loves her and that she's oh, "so cute."
Meanwhile I sit back, happy to be a flower on the wall.
