the beach dream

16
Even the reality of the six days we spent meandering up and down the beach and patronizing (in the old sense of the word) the donut shop, has a very hard time standing up to these photos...

oh my.... So beautiful, all of it!
When can I come raid Audrey's closet? The pink tulle and little red slip-ons are just too much for this mother-of-boys!

I want to spend just one second in your world!! In my reality Taryn is wearing an oversized Lady and the Tramp costume and attacking her brother who is sporting a head to toe Spiderman suit. Sigh!

As far as these photographs are concerned - I hope that life always mimics art because they convey a kind of "unreal reality" which I wish were mine all the time. I'm not sure what it is about artistic representation - whether stories, pictures, paintings - but images of beauty always awaken me more deeply to the idea that we are heavenly beings - or, perhaps more accurately, eternal beings, with souls.

Oh, those sequined shoes! Would you believe they were $9 at Walmart? I only wish they'd had my size.
